The Finance Department at the Port of Galveston is responsible for managing the financial resources of the port and ensuring that its operations are sustainable. Some of its key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, developing and managing the port’s budget, preparing financial reports and statements, overseeing payroll and accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and standards. Additionally, the Finance Department works closely with other departments within the port to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making.
