The Galveston Wharves is advising the public of lane closures on Harborside Drive beginning Monday, Nov. 17, and continuing through the end of the year due to road repair work by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Work is expected on sections of Harborside between 14th Street and I-45, with work beginning at 14th Street. TxDOT aims to restrict lane closures to week days as much as possible.
Drivers — including cruise passengers, supply trucks and other port-related traffic — should expect delays, especially on cruise days. To help minimize travel time, please use your navigation app to plan your route in advance and allow extra time to reach your destination safely.
