Houston Rodeo & Port of Galveston Giveaway: Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Eligibility: This Giveaway is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Port of Galveston, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers are not eligible to participate.
2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of the Port of Galveston as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Giveaway.
3. Giveaway Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on Saturday January 31, 2026 9am CST and ending Monday February 23, 2026 12noon CST. All online entries must be received by Monday February 23, 2026 at 12 noon CST. Winner will be announced later that day.
4. How to Enter: The Giveaway must be entered by:
- Liking the official giveaway post.
- Following the Port of Galveston Facebook page.
- Commenting on the post with your favorite thing to do at the rodeo. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Port of Galveston.
5. Prizes: The Winner(s) of the Giveaway (the “Winner”) will receive:
- Four (4) Grounds Passes & Carnival Packs to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. A prize pack valued at over $400.
- Port of Galveston branded merchandise/gear. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted.
6. Winner Selection and Notification: Winner will be selected by a random drawing under the supervision of the Port of Galveston. Winner will be notified via Facebook Commenting and or Direct Message/Reply within five (5) days following selection of Winner. We will ask the winner to email ssharp@portofgalveston.com to claim their prize. The Port of Galveston shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings.
7. Rights Granted by You: By entering this content, You understand and agree that the Port of Galveston shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, or statements about the Giveaway for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
8. Social Media Platform Rules: This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. You understand that you are providing your information to the Port of Galveston and not to Facebook.
