Overview

The Galveston Wharves Procurement Department strives to provide a collaborative environment that fosters efficiency and accuracy when completing all purchases. Our goal is to support the port’s growth by purchasing goods and services, producing responsive and responsible service, and providing the best value and to all port departments. Procurement facilitates the purchasing needs for all port departments, including public solicitations, contract management, strategic sourcing, cost-savings initiatives, and purchasing.

The Port of Galveston adheres to 2 CFR Part 200 Subpart D for all federally funded projects and procurements, as well as the statutory requirements of the State of Texas Local Government Code.

How do I find open bids or upcoming opportunities?

A list of current opportunities can be found on the Bids & RFPs page. Create an account with the electronic solicitation management tool, Bonfire, in order to get notified when a new opportunity is published.

How do I find out which contractor or vendor was awarded a contract?

Information regarding bid/proposal awards will be included on the original bid posting as soon as it is available. Please refer to the Public Solicitations page.
