Ferry Information

The Galveston-Port Bolivar Ferry is open to the general public. There is a curfew between the hours of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am, giving authorities the right to question anyone venturing between the ferry landing and Rollover Pass Bridge. The state operates two vessels daily. One runs 24 hours, and the other starts service at 6:30 am and runs for 8-12 hours, depending on traffic.

There is no issue with commuters using the highway to pass through storm-torn areas, as long as they refrain from entering neighborhoods that are in the process of being restored.
